Pico Cuardo Tempranillo 2011

Your new wine crush!

You know those moments when you’re sitting around with friends, happily nodding and gushing about how great the wine is?

This is the wine you’re drinking.

And you’re in good company because we instantly fell in love with it too.

  • Smell

Heady aromas of blackberry, vanilla and spices. Just lovely stuff.

A lush and rich taste with flavours of blackberries, blueberries, liquorice, and spices. A really nice, long finish. Achingly well-crafted!

If this wine was a person, it would be

Tim Westwood: pow pow pow in a bottle.

Why you need to try it

Fantastic flavour at a nice price.

  • Origin

Spain in the Ribera del Duero region. This region rivals Rioja as Spain's number one red wine producing region.

  • Producing hand-crafted wines, winemakers These combine exhaustive fieldwork with efficient modern winemaking techniques. Felipe Castrillo Martin learnt his trade at Vega Sicilia, one of Spain's most prestigious wine estates.

The winery is also in extremely good company. It's just 30m from Peter Sisseck's Dominio de Pingus, which produces 'cult wines' that sell for hundreds of pounds.
